I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
